​National Dog Week is celebrated annually during the last full week of September to honor the loyalty and companionship of dogs and promote responsible pet ownership.

 

Founded in 1928 by Captain William Judy, the week serves as a reminder of the joy dogs bring and a call to action to give back to our canine friends through activities like pampering, training, and supporting shelter.

September 20th – 26th, 2026 marks the 98th National Dog Week.
