About Us
Barkansas opened its doors in Hot Springs Village in 2009 and have been serving our local dog and cat loving community ever since. We carry a wide variety of healthy pet food brands and wellness products to insure your pet gets the best tasting and quality diet he or she deserves. Our store is filled with everything you need to keep your pet well fed, healthy treats and food supplements, grooming supplies, a self-serve bathing room and beautification technician, and of course expert advise regarding your cat or dog should you ask. We also offer a loyalty program to reward you for taking such great care of your pet.
We welcome you and your pet to come check out our store for all your pet needs and receive a free belly rub, a pat on the head (or a handshake for you) on each visit.

About the Owner
Back in 2009, Lisa gave up her teaching career and moved to Arkansas to be closer to her dad and open a pet supply store. She wanted people to have healthier alternatives than products that lined the shelves of the big box stores. She took the knowledge she obtained from years of doing animal rescue and spending weekends at pet store adoption events
“I knew there was some difference in pet products, but I had no idea what lay ahead. I’ve spent as much time learning about animal welfare that I did obtaining my Bachelor’s, Master’s and Teaching Credential combined. I love this industry and learning how to help my customers keep their pets health and happy.”
It is now 2021 and Lisa and Barkansas Pet Supply are flourishing. The store was created for those who want nothing but the best for their furry family member(s). The store has grown and recently moved to a bigger location and added a self-serve dog wash area, training /education classes, and a cat adoption center. The most recent addition is nail clipping and cat nail covers. Barkansas Pet Supply also continues to offer its vast choice of best quality dog and cat food brands including grooming, wellness products and toys.
Barkansas is well known in the local community and the most comprehensively stocked pet store in the area with a their is stellar reputation! Customers are welcome to bring their furry friend and that’s how they like it.
